Cats are usually pretty good at finding their way into places they probably shouldn’t, but Liquid Cats: Cozy Line Puzzle takes that talent to a rather more logical extreme.

Now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC, this new puzzle game asks you to guide a stretchy feline across a grid, filling every available tile along the way.

Priced at just £3.29, Liquid Cats keeps things simple, relaxing and entirely free from ticking clocks.

Every Turn Matters

The idea behind Liquid Cats is wonderfully straightforward. Choose a direction and your cat stretches across the grid, with the ultimate goal of covering every empty tile.

The catch is that one bad turn can leave a section of the board unreachable. That means planning the route before committing to it becomes increasingly important as the puzzles get more complicated.

If things go wrong, there’s no need to stare at your tangled cat in despair. Levels can be restarted instantly, letting you rethink the route and try again.

From Beginner To Master

There are 300 levels split across four difficulty packs. Beginner and Medium each contain 100 puzzles, while Expert and Master add 50 apiece for players looking for something considerably trickier.

There’s also a cooldown-based hint system. Rather than solving the entire puzzle for you, hints fill in part of the correct route, giving you enough help to get moving again without completely taking the satisfaction out of solving it yourself.

A Different Liquid Cat

It’s worth clearing up one potential case of feline confusion, too. Liquid Cats isn’t the same game, or franchise, as Liquid Cat, which arrived on Xbox in 2025.

We’ve previously covered Liquid Cat, a puzzle platformer featuring a cat capable of switching between two forms. This new game comes from a different developer and takes an entirely different approach – this time, the cat is less interested in platforming and more interested in becoming a very stretchy line.

A Small Puzzle With Plenty Of Levels

With no timers and a gentle presentation, Liquid Cats looks designed for those moments when you fancy a quick puzzle but don’t necessarily want something demanding your full attention. Then again, once you start working through those 300 levels, that “quick puzzle” could turn into quite a longer evening.

At £3.29, this is an inexpensive little feline diversion – and one where getting the cat from one side of the board to the other is considerably more complicated than it first appears.

You’ll find Liquid Cats on the Xbox Store in three versions – there’s an optimised for Xbox Series X|S drop, another that plays on Xbox One, and an edition for Windows PC players.
