Shenmue 3: Enhanced has been pushed to early 2027, publisher ININ Games has announced.
We’re well aware that you’re eagerly awaiting the chance to see Ryo shine like never before, for the first time on several modern consoles. Development is taking time to get everything right, and we’re making great progress while finalizing the last details. We’ll have more details to share with you soon and are looking forward to this release in early 2027!!
Shenmue 3: Enhanced brings the 2019 action-adventure game to PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S in early 2027 with a number of improved features. Among the refinements include faster loading times, enhanced textures, health restoration prior to boss fights, and new optional features for the Stamina system. Furthermore, the notorious cash barriers that you would have to meet to progress have been greatly reduced, cutting down the process of grinding jobs for money and improving the overall flow of the game.
The original version of Shenmue 3 was released on PS4 and PC in 2019 and arrived 17 years after the release of Shemue II. Here, we find Ryo Hazuki in China where he teams up with the mysterious Shenhua, who aids him on his quest to track down Chinese martial artist Lan Di, who murdered Ryo’s father at the beginning of the first game.
