Aspyr is working with Warner Bros. to bring The Middle-earth series to Nintendo Switch 2, including its immersive Nemesis system. Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War will be available as separate releases and in a limited-time bundle.
The Middle-earth Shadow Bundle will include Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition and Shadow of War Definitive Edition, the latest versions for each game. Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition will include the base game, Guardians of the Flaming Eye exclusive Warband Mission, Lord of the Hunt Story Mission, The Bright Lord Story Mission, several Warband Missions, runes, and skins, while Shadow of War Definitive Edition includes the base game, Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion, Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion, Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion, and Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion.
The Middle-earth ports will be available digitally on the Nintendo platform on September 30, 2026. There’s little time after their official launch for anyone to acquire the games at a lower price before the sale closes on October 6, 2026. It’s not confirmed that the games will receive future physical versions, though it isn’t impossible for Aspyr, considering their previous releases.
