On the evening of Sept. 22, Ninja Kiwi Games posted a video on social media about Bloons TD 6. The post’s caption read, “Overwatch online” and “Targets in my sights.” The video itself then showed red spider eyes and a message teasing that something is coming to the game this October.

The Overwatch community was quick to notice the post, with popular account OWCavalry even speculating about a potential Bloons TD 6 x Overwatch collaboration.

Some players also wondered if the caption and spider eyes referenced Widowmaker. After all, the sniper does have a spider motif and her Infra-Sight ultimate does provide wall hacks to better target enemies.

However, other folks such as Sh0gunyan and DaveButNot pointed out that the “Overwatch” part of the post simply referred to the military tactic where one unit provides cover and support for another. Folks also stated that the video actually teased Bloons TD 6’s Sniper Paragon.

For context, Bloons TD 6 is a tower defense game where players can upgrade towers to the Paragon tier. Paragons, also known as Tier 6 towers, combine elements from three of a tower’s upgrade paths and are among the game’s most powerful units.

One Bloons TD 6 player then deciphered the message shown in the video itself. According to shadow_alox, the text read, “The unit has entered the battlefield. Finally! We’ve been waiting for too long! The Bloons won’t stand a chance now.”
